In loving memory of Osvaldo (Eddie) Cardoso
August 2, 1963 – May 8, 2026
It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Osvaldo “Eddie” Cardoso, who passed away peacefully at his home in Wakefield on the evening of May 8, 2026.
Eddie lived his life devoted to his family and was a loving and dedicated husband, father, grandfather, brother, and friend. He is survived by his beloved wife, Fatima Cardoso; his daughters, Christina and Jessica; his son, Christopher Cardoso; his cherished granddaughter, Jeniyah; his sister, Benvinda; and his brothers, Edmund, Fernando, John, and Oscar.
He was pre-deceased by his parents Maria and Manuel Cardoso, and two brothers Francisco and Antonio.
Eddie was known for his kindness, humor, humbleness and strong work ethic. He spent many years working as an executive chef and had a true passion for the art of cooking and bringing people together through food and later transitioned to an electrician working alongside with family.
His presence leaves a lasting void and he will be deeply missed by his family, friends, and all who had the privilege of knowing and loving him.
Visting hours will be held at the Rogers Funeral Home, 380 Cambridge Street in Cambridge, on Saturday, May 16, 2026, from 2:00 to 6:00 pm.
All other services will be private.
