Myrta Degen Peterson passed away peacefully Sunday April 26th, 2026, at Sunrise in Arlington, Massachusetts after living over 25 years with Parkinson's.
She was born in Switzerland, moved to Boston in 1954 and became a naturalized American in 1960, the same year she married Donald Peterson.
She was a medical secretary and home health aide for the visiting nurses for many years.
She was predeceased by Donald in 1988 and leaves two children: daughter Linda in Pawtucket RI and son Eric in Front Royal VA.
