Geraldina F. DaSilva (Lacerda), of Malden, passed away on March 1, 2026, surrounded by her loving family at the age of 93.

Devoted wife of the late Joaquim Inacio DaSilva.

Loving mother of John Silva and his wife Muriel, Carol LeBlanc and her husband Keith, Doreen Browne and her husband Sean.

Cherished grandmother of Helena Petras, Keith LeBlanc Jr., Samantha Browne and Victoria Browne.

Adored great-grandmother of Mason Nunemaker.

Beloved sister of Gabriel de Lacerda, Filomena Tavares, Joe Manuel Lacerda, and the late Eduardo Lacerda, Albano Lacerda, Maria Manuel da Silva, Benigna Soares, Estella Duarte, and Filomena Pinto.

Also survived by many nieces, nephews, and other loving relatives and friends.

She immigrated to the US from the Azores in 1959 with her spouse, Joaquim,  and young son John. Together, they built a beautiful life here. Mom became a US citizen ten years later and sponsored many family members to come to the US.
Geraldina worked at the Fenton Shoe Company for years. Later in her life,  she worked as a housekeeper at Boston University and loved interacting with all the students. She retired from BU in 1997.
During her earlier years, she enjoyed going to Cape Cod and Nantasket Beach to spend time with family. She always looked forward to our yearly family reunions in Gloucester.

Geraldina was loved by all and will be deeply missed by all those who were fortunate enough to know her.
