Maria B. De Chaves (Magalhaes) of Methuen, formerly of Cambridge, passed away on December 8,, 2025, surrounded by her loving family at age 87.
Devoted wife of the late Antonio C. De Chaves.
Loving mother of Graciela Moura and her husband Jose Manuel, Teresinha Soares and her late husband Antonio, Bernardette Santos and her husband Jose, Manuel Chaves and his wife Eduarda, Maria Chaves – Pereira and her husband Eduardo, Elisabete Aguiar and her husband Jose.
Cherished grandmother of Michael, Kevin, Lisa, Craig, Ashley, Matthew, Nicholas, Jason, Samantha, James and Kyle.
Beloved sister of Aida Leandres, Jose Magalhaes, and Cidalia Moura.
Also survived by 10 great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and many other loving relatives and friends.
Visitation at the Rogers Funeral Home, on Wednesday, December 10, 2025, from 9:00 to 10:30 am.
Funeral mass to follow at St. Anthony’s Church, 400 Cardinal Medeiros Avenue in Cambridge at 11:00 am.
Interment will be at the Cambridge Cemetery.
