Natalie Marie Merrill, 53, passed away peacefully on May 7, 2025, after a brief illness, with her devoted husband, Steve Merrill, by her side.
Born on August 22, 1971, in Des Plaines, Illinois, Natalie was the beloved daughter of Thomas and June Ferber and the sister of Lorie Ferber.
Natalie built a life filled with love, creativity, and quiet joy. A longtime resident of Maine, she found deep fulfillment in the simple beauty of her surroundings. Whether quilting, knitting by the window, or watching birds from her porch, Natalie embraced each day with grace and appreciation. She especially loved picnics on the beach with Steve, where they spent peaceful hours together enjoying the coastal breeze and each other’s company. She also treasured the magic of Disney, a place where she and Steve shared countless meaningful moments and joyful adventures.
Natalie will be remembered for her gentle spirit, artistic heart, and the deep, unwavering love she gave to those around her. In addition to her loving husband, parents, and sister, she leaves behind many dear friends whose lives were touched by her kindness and warmth.
A Celebration of Life for both Stephen and his wife Natalie will be held on Sunday, June 22, 2025, at 2:30 p.m. at the Cliff House in Cape Neddick, Maine. Arrangements are under the care of Rogers Funeral Home, Cambridge, Massachusetts.
To honor Stephen and Natalie Merrill’s legacy of kindness and joy, we created the Stephen and Natalie Merrill Wishes Forever Fund at Make-A-Wish. Donate Now | Make-A-Wish Maine
This fund grants Disney wishes to children with critical illnesses, sharing the same magic and hope Disney brought to Steve and Natalie.
