Mr. Eduardo B. Couto

Couto, Eduardo B., of Arlington passed away peacefully on June 29^th, 2016 after a brief hospitalization at the age of 94. He was the devoted husband of Georgina (Ponte) Couto, loving father of Edward Couto and Barbara Hughes, George Couto and his wife Karen. Cherished grandfather of Brad Couto and his wife Angela, Jordan Couto, Elizabeth Couto and the late Adam Couto. Beloved uncle of Inez Pacheco and her husband John. Also survived by many other loving relatives and friends. Visiting hours at the Rogers Funeral Home, 380 Cambridge St., Cambridge on Wednesday, July 6^th, 2016 from 4:00 to 8:00 pm. Funeral Mass from the funeral home on Thursday, July 7^th, 2016 at 8:00 am, with mass to follow at St. Anthony’s Church in Cambridge at 9:00 am. Eduardo was born in Sao Miguel, Acores, Portugal and arrived in the United States in 1958 and was very proud to become an American Citizen. He worked at Boston University and Youville Hospital in Cambridge until his retirement. He was a longtime resident of Arlington and enjoyed spending time with family, playing cards, praying the rosary and watching daily mass. He was a man of faith, may he rest in peace.
