Pereira, Joao M., of Somerville, April 13th, 2016 at age 67. Devoted husband of Maria E. (Barcelos) Pereira. Loving father of Osvalda Pereira-Post and her husband Daniel, Sandra Luis and her husband Steven. Cherished grandfather Meadow, Antonio, Nathaniel and the late Ethan. Beloved brother of Jose Pereira and Teresa Melo. Also survived by nieces, nephews, other loving relatives and friends. Funeral from the Rogers Funeral Home, 380 Cambridge St., Cambridge, Cambridge. Saturday at 8:00 am. Funeral mass at St. Anthony’s Church in Cambridge at 9:00 am. Visiting hours Friday 4:00 to 8:00 pm. Joao was a longtime employee of Boston University.
