Mrs. Rita L. Miranda

Miranda, Rita L. (Correia) of Medford, Dec. 4^th, formerly of Beacon St., Somerville. Devoted wife of the late Robert M. Miranda. Loving mother of Russell Miranda and his wife Connie, and the late Robert  “Bob” M. Miranda II. Cherished grandmother of Cassandra and Christopher Miranda. Also survived by nieces, cousins, other loving relatives and friends. Funeral from the Rogers Funeral Home, 380 Cambridge St., Cambridge Saturday at 8 am. Funeral Mass at St. Anthony’s Church in Cambridge at 9 am. Visiting hours Friday 4 to 8 pm. Rita dedicated many years as a coordinator and CCD teacher at St. Anthony’s Church. She also worked with their Scouting program as a Den Mother to Pack 41 and later on with Troop 41.  She was very active with the fund raising, supporting and chaperoning of The Somerville High School Band.
