Reid, Thomas W. “Tommy”, of Cambridge May 20, 2017 following a short illness at age 92. He was the devoted husband of the late Agnes “Sis” Reid (Lopez). Loving father of Barbara Alfano, Denise Reid and Cheryl Guzman. Beloved brother of Rose Jordan, Edna DiFraia and the late Mary Ellen Lukacewicz, Lorraine Peri, William, Hugh Jr. and Patrick Reid. Cherished grandfather of 4 grandchildren, 7 great-grandchildren and 1 great-great grandchild, also survived by nieces, nephews, many other loving relatives and friends. Funeral from the Rogers Funeral Home, 380 Cambridge St., in Cambridge at 9:00 am. Funeral mass at Sacred Heart Church, 49 Sixth St., in Cambridge at 10:00 am. Visiting hours Tuesday, 4:00 to 8:00 pm. Tom was born in 1925 son of Hugh Reid and Elizabeth (Candora). He was a lifelong resident of East Cambridge, he served proudly with the US Navy in WWII aboard the USS Arkansas. After the war he became a Cambridge Police Officer, retiring after 30 years on the force.
